The functioning of the school is very efficiently being carried out at The Primary Level, the Secondary Level. All these levels have their own Heads to monitor them, with the final decision being taken by the Principal.

The school has been a pioneer in quality education. All education revolves around the child, who is like wet cement; whatever falls on it makes an impression. A special care is taken at the pre-primary level to mould this wet soft clay into successful human beings. It provides an English medium learning experience for young children. The school helps the child grow learn and develop physically, socially, and intellectually.
PRIMARY – SECTION
The Primary section consists of four classes Pre- Nur, Nursery ,Lower Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten . It is open for the children above age 3 years. The duration of Nursery and K.G. classes is of one year each unless the child is sub standard, retarded or physically challenged. If the progress of the child is unsatisfactory, he is supposed to be detained in the same class to repeat.
The students learn in an informal way through play way method with the help of specially designed aid to help in developing their psycho motor skills (learning by doing) under the guidance of learned and well trained Montessori teachers.
This is a one–year course. English, Hindi, Maths, G.K., Drawing and craft are the subjects chiefly taught in these classes, both written and oral emphasis is laid on reading and recitation. Education is imparted through audio visual aids, projectors, cassettes etc. In the primary section we follow an informal approach “Learning By Doing.”
MIDDLE – SECTION
The subject English, Hindi, Maths, Social Studies, History, Civics, Geography, General Sciences, General Knowledge, Computer, Drawing and Craft are taught. Sanskrit is regarded as the third language. Education is imparted through audio-visual aids. We interact students with audio-visual classes for social studies & scienceby CD’s/ projector
SECONDARY – SECTION
Secondary section at Birsa Children Academy fully takes into account the programmed promulgated by the National Policy on Education. This exposes the students to the differentiated roles of science, the humanities and social sciences. It is at this stage that the children are provided with a sense of history and national perspective. The school has ample opportunities to understand their constitutional duties and rights as citizens.
